The management of WBA Holding:

 

Martin Hantabal (40) works currently as the chairman of WBA Holding. Martin is also a managing partner of Tarrana Private Equity fund and serves on it's Investment Management Committee.

During almost 18 years of his professional career, he has acquired a rich experience with organization and management of newly established business entities, introducing corporate culture and work flow rules. He started his career as a director in a multi-national company, responsible for branches abroad - the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Russia, Rep. of Tatarstan, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Singapore and Hong-Kong. Then, as an independent advisor, he was active in several start-ups and later he has acquired valuable experience in area of the crisis management.

In 2000 he was co-founder of a Slovak branch of the company AKONT, which is based in Prague, the Czech Republic, and is the leader in the local market of off-shore and on-shore companies incorporation. In 2001 he was active as a professional advisor during the consolidation of the Czech credit union company, WBP Capital. In 2002 he was co-founder of a Slovak branch of the company OFFICE HOUSE and Companies Online – companies active in the area of virtual office services and local companies foundation.  From 2003 he represented a group of investors in the social care area, specifically a network of residential homes for senior citizens – Seniorville.

He earned a master's degree in Electrotechnical Engineering from the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, Slovakia, master's degree in pedagogy and psychology, he speaks fluently Slovak, Czech, English and Russian languages, and he is happy married and with two children. In 2010, he founded the Slovak – Maltese Chamber of Commerce in Bratislava, Slovakia, and he is the President of the Chamber. He is also author of an idea of a charity project CompanyArt. Marek Morgenstern (33) is CEO of WBA Holding. He also serves as managing partner of Tarrana Private Equity Corp. He participates in the investment activities of TPE's business and serves on its Investment Management committee.

Marek started his career at the Ministry of Economy. Later on, he set-up and managed the advisory company, World Business Association, providing a broad range of services to local and international investors. The company became a market leader in providing complex services and management of international holding structures and virtual offices.

Among other successful projects, he established  company WBA Property Development, which specializes in complex real estate development services. Marek currently also serves on the supervisory board of DPD Services, which focuses  on the management of social hospitality houses for elderly people. He is also member of the Board of Directors of several companies within  WBA Holding.

Marek Morgenstern holds a master's degree in General Management from University of Economics in Bratislava. Marek speaks English and Russian languages. He is keen on cars and other engine driven vehicels. Answering question about hobbies is very easy - he tells that his work is his hobby. He is married and spending lot of time with his lovely daughter.

 

Miroslav Kupka (33) is currently member of the WBA holding board. Miroslav works also as a managing partner of Seniorville and WBA Property Development projects.

During 10 years of his professional career he has earned a rich experience in project management, business counselling and financial management area.

He started his career in subcompany of multi-national energy corporation where he worked as a financial manager. In 2002 he was co-founder and lately managing partner of a company focused on providing comprehensive business advisory and accounting services especialy for international clients.

From 2003 he managed project in the social care area - a network of residential homes for senior citizens – Seniorville and with his partners started to build WBA Holding from a scratch. He is also managing partner of WBA Property Development project focused on real estate development from 2007. He was co-founder of a health care project called LaSalus in 2009.

He has a master's degree in Enterprise management from the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia, he speaks fluently Slovak, Czech and English languages and he is happily married.

 

Miroslav Utly (33) is CFO of WBA Holding. Currently he is responsible for finance in all WBA Holding projects and reports directly to members of the board. He supervises strategic decisions taken by project leaders and co-ordinates cashflows within the holding. His activities are focused also to non for profit organization, where he is a member of the supervisory board.

Miroslav has spent 8 years with Ernst & Young. He started as financial auditor and ended up as auditor of information systems and IT/Financial advisor. He has an extensive experience with financial audit of major Slovak and foreign companies according to IFRS, US GAAP and Slovak GAAP. He participated in IT audit of Slovak and foreign companies and took part on several internal audit projects for world industry leaders. During his career he gained ACCA certification, CISA certification and ISO 27001 certification.

Miroslav has a master degree in Economics from University of Economics in Bratislava, focused on finance and taxes. He speaks English and German. He is married and enjoying his cute daughter.

 

Katarina Staffenova (32) is responsible for the CompanyHouse and CompanyService projects within WBA Holding. She is the initiator of the SetupYour.biz! project in support of youth entrepreneurship in Slovakia, under the WBA Holding umbrella.

Katarina has a wealth of experience in the field of international relations. She began her working career as an editor for foreign economic news at the SITA news agency. In 2000 she attended the birth of a Slovak branch of the Prague-based Czech firm AKONT, devoting herself to international tax planning. She is the author of numerous articles published in the Slovak media. One of her career’s successes was the founding of CompanyService on the Slovak market. She made the company into one of the leaders in the field of comprehensive consulting services for Slovak and foreign businesspeople.  Katarina has worked there since 2004 and numerous foreign start-ups have passed through her hands, receiving her assistance in entering the Slovak market. She has participated as a lecturer in many professional conferences, both in Slovakia and abroad.

Katarína studied economic diplomacy at the University of Economics in Bratislava. As part of her continuing education, she has participated in numerous management trainings for the development of personal capacities and resources. She speaks English, German and Slovak. She is presently attending the long-term Manager+ experience program organised under the auspices of the Institute for Management Education, and is also finishing her doctorate in international relations at the University of Economics in Bratislava.

Katarína is single, and in her free time enjoys literature, sport, mountain hiking, travel and humanistic psychology.

 

Alena Benova (34) is responsible for WBA Holding back office division, she also takes care about HR and division of certification.

She began her career as a special educator (teacher) at the Special Primary School in Bratislava, Slovakia, where she worked for eight years. She was co-founder of preparatory classes and classes for children with specific learning disabilities.

Since 2007 she worked as a back office manager and manager of operation for the Slovak branch of the Czech companies OFFICE HOUSE and Spolocnosti Online.

Alena has an university education, master degree, at the Pedagogical Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava. She is educated to work with children with individual needs and she has the special advisor skills for work with such children. She is certified to work with biofeedback. Alena is married and in her free time she likes reading, sport, painting and she likes spending time in the countryside and exploring new places.
